PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce flakes of dried bonito, etc., of uniform thickness and shape which have fine appearance and the best flavor and quality as new-shaved product. SOLUTION: A cutter blade 3 is installed in the axial direction of, or aslant to, the peripheral surface 2 of a rotor 1. A guide is furnished to accommodate a solid food such as dried bonito and guide it so as to contact with the blade 3. In a position ahead in the rotating direction farther than the blade 3, a projection 9 is furnished as protrusive outward from the other part of the peripheral surface 2, and the blade 3 is arranged so that its tip 10 is protrusive outward from the projection 9 on the rotor. |
