PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile, device and method, with which it is possible to protect a transmission quickly in case an excessively high stress is generated in a shifting process where an automatic shift is adopted. SOLUTION: From signal(s) given by at least one sensor 12/20 distinction is made for a critical condition such that an addendum of a shifting mechanism in a transmission is undeliberately in contact continuously under a stress application before the clutch of a torque transmitting system is disengaged in the automatic shifting process and a control of at least one actuator 8/9 is conducted such that the shifting process is restituted at least temporarily and partially and then continued again by the use of a control unit 7.
