<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which readily reduces power consumption, while maintaining long lifetime of an image display device. <P>SOLUTION: An image-display device is provided with first to fourth light-emitting elements which are each included in respective pixels and emit first to fourth lights which are different from one another. The device controls the fourth light-emitting element to emit light, when first to third gradations which correspond to first to third colors are higher than first to third reference gradations, respectively, and controls the fourth light-emitting element so as not to emit light, when the first to third gradations are lower than the first to third reference gradations, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
