<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charge circuit which supply a standard battery charge controller from a standard computer data port and other power supplies. <P>SOLUTION: The battery charge circuit includes: a semiconductor switch Q1 having an output connected to a charging battery 24; the battery charge controller 20 for receiving power from an external power supply for supplying output power to the input of portable equipment 18 and the semiconductor switch having a current output of the battery charge controller controllable; and a voltage detection circuit 30 for measuring the voltage drop between both ends of the battery charge controller, when the voltage drop is too large, by adjusting the semiconductor switch so as to make the quantity of the current decrease to cope with the voltage drop across both the ends of the battery charge controller. In this way, total power consumed by the battery charge controller is controlled, the battery charge circuit receives power necessary for the portable equipment receives the required power for its operation and a rechargeable battery receives all the additional able power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
