<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell spacer which is excellent in heat resistance, chemical resistance to electrolyte or electrolyte solution, moisture permeation resistance, and durability and in which intervals between substrates are accurately maintained and a dye-sentitized solar cell having the dye-sentitized solar cell spacer. <P>SOLUTION: The dye-sensitized solar cell spacer comprises an acid-radical containing polymer with a melting point within the range of 85 to 150°C and a composition formed by combining spherical substances of 1 to 200 μm in average grain size with a polymer selected from a silane degenerated polymer and an epoxy-group containing olefin polymer.
