PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk-like optical recording medium recording/reproducing device capable of performing layer jump operation at a high speed. SOLUTION: When an optical disk 1 of a single side reading double layer structure is mounted, before entering reproducing operation, the eccentric amounts of a first and a second information recording layers are measured in advance, respectively, by means of a rotating angle detector 6 and a eccentricity detecting circuit 12 and the information on eccentricity is stored in a memory. At the time of layer jump during reproduction, the rotating angle of the optical disk 1 is monitored by using the rotating angle detector 6, by comparing it with the previously stored information on eccentricity in real time, jumping from the minimum eccentric position of the first information recording layer to that of the second information recording layer is performed. Consequently, jump accuracy is improved and the reproduction of a target track is quickly started. |
