An apparatus for supporting a flat panel display device is provided to stably adjust the tilt angle of the flat panel display device, and prevent the shock generated when adjusting the tilt angle. A fixing bracket(3) is fixed to a fixing wall(4). A set bracket(2) is fixed to a flat panel display device. An upper rotational assembly(5) connects an upper part of the set bracket and the fixing bracket. A lower rotational assembly connects a lower part of the set bracket and the fixing bracket. An elastic member applies the elastic force to the upper rotational assembly, lower rotational assembly or the two assemblies in a direction resisting the weight of the display device.
