A motor control apparatus and a method thereof are provided to perform a stable torque control by reflecting a change of a load torque to a motor control on a real time. A motor control apparatus includes a motor, an inverter(200), a control part(210), and a storage part(230). The motor is a motor for a compressor(250). The inverter applies a power source to the motor. The control part estimates a load torque based on a motor current and a motor speed. The motor speed includes an estimating speed estimated through at least one among voltage and current applied to the motor. The control part controls the power source applied to the motor in order that the output torque of the motor corresponds to the estimated load torque. The control part stores the load torque pattern to the storage part after patterning the estimated load torque. |
