<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety and reliability in remotely starting an engine by a remote-starting system and make the remote-starting system easily applicable to vehicles equipped with no positional switch on their gearshifts. SOLUTION: This engine remote-starting system having a means (a) for remotely controlling the starting of an engine and a means (b) for controlling the starting of the engine based on the remote control is further provided with a means (c) for detecting starter currents of the engine, a means (d) for suspending the starting control of the engine when the detected current value exceeds a predetermined maximum value, a means (e) for detecting the temperature of the cooling water in the engine, a means (j) for detecting the internal resistance of the battery, a means (f) for correcting the predetermined maximum value on the basis of these detected temperature and resistance values, and a means (h) for warning of the suspension of the starting control of the engine.</p> |
