An electronic device according to various examples of the present invention comprises: a communication unit which communicates with an external device; a display unit which displays an operating screen of content based on texts; an input unit which senses a text input; and a control unit which recognizes an entity in a text output on a text-input screen in a response to a text input, outputs relevant information searched by a text of the entity as a searching keyword on the text-input screen in a response to a first input selecting the entity, and in a response to a second input selecting the output relevant information, creates text-based content such that a text of the entity is linked to the selected relevant information.
