According to an embodiment of the present invention, a protocol control method which is performed in a mobile communications system, comprises the following steps: verifying generation or variation of a communications session which is transmitted through a public data network (PDN); analyzing traffic properties of the communications session through a packet analysis unit when the communications session is generated or varied; and setting a protocol of a base station based on the analyzed traffic properties.
