The present invention relates to an antifungal composition comprising a 2,4-dihydroxychalcone compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In addition, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating aspergillosis, comprising a 2,4-dihydroxychalcone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. In a patient whose immunity level is degraded, aspergillosis caused by Aspergillus fumigatus is a main cause of infection and death. However, development and use of a pharmaceutical agent capable of treating such infection effectively is very limited up to date. Therefore, the 2,4-dihydroxychalcone compound according to the present invention can be developed and used as an antifungal agent against Aspergillus fumigatus. |
