PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer etc. which detects attachment of a tape cartridge and concurrently inhibits displacement of the attached tape cartridge.SOLUTION: A tape printer includes: a cartridge attachment part 5 to which a tape cartridge 100 is detachably attached; and a push switch 420 provided in the cartridge attachment part 5 and configured to detect the attached tape cartridge 100. The push switch 420 has a stem 420a biased by a built-in spring in a protruding direction. The stem 420a in an operation state biases the attached tape cartridge 100 in a direction intersecting with an attachment direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
