PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save manpower in inspecting reception performance of an image display apparatus and reduce an inspection cost.SOLUTION: An inspection apparatus performs an inspection of reception performance for a broadcast signal with respect to an image display apparatus that receives the broadcast signal to display a broadcast program. The image display apparatus comprises: a tuner unit 11; a demodulation unit 12; and an error information acquisition transmission unit 13. The inspection apparatus comprises: a test broadcast signal source 2; an error determination unit 31 that receives error information and performs quality determination on reception performance for a test broadcast signal on the basis of whether or not the error information satisfies a predetermined criterion; a reception setting control unit 32 that controls the image display apparatus to make the image display apparatus change the image display apparatus's settings on reception of the test broadcast signal; and a signal source control unit 33 that controls the test broadcast signal source 2 to make the test broadcast signal source change a characteristic of the test broadcast signal on the basis of a result of the quality determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
