[Also in Division B4] A jig for drilling gear-boxes by using the gears to position the drill bushes 26, 27, 28, oomprises a ring 1, a disc 2 rotatable in the ring bore and itself having an eccentric bore, a second ring 8 rotatable in the disc bore, and a second disc 20 rotatable in ring 8. Members 20 and 8 have toothed peripheries, and they can be indexed by a tool 15, which is located in sockets 13, 22, and has a pinion 16 which cooperates with the teeth. For setting the drill bushes, gears 30-32 are placed on the bushes, and members 2, 8, 20 are indexed until the gears intermesh, and the members are then locked by lugs 5, 11, 24. |
