PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory realtime image to a user, without degrading image quality in a communication path with a narrow band. SOLUTION: In an original picture time sequence, only valid pictures 101, 103,... are extracted by repeatedly designating a valid image period. Image- starting headers 111, 113,... for synchronization and picture-ending headers 112, 114,... for synchronization are added to each extracted valid image 101, 103,... and only the valid images are transmitted. At a receiving side, the valid images are reproduced based on the image-starting/ending headers for synchronization, and a series of time sequential images are displayed by supplementing complementary information 121, 122,... in an invalid image period. |
