摘要
1,200,823. Musical instruments. C. HILLAIRET, and J. LECADRE. 29 March, 1968 [31 March, 1967], No. 15149/68. Heading C5J. In an electronic harmonica the air pressure caused by blowing or sucking through the holes causes a pressure sensitive element to raise a leaf spring 13, one for each note, which acts as a switch to alter the value of a component in an electronic oscillator, thereby varying the frequency of the oscillator. In the embodiment shown, the pressure sensitive element comprises two parallel cylinders 6 and 7 fitted with pistons 8 and 9 fixed to piston rods 10 and 11 respectively. In the rest position, the pistons are in the positions shown, blowing through the hole B causing piston 8 to rise and sucking causing piston 9 to rise. As rods 10, and 11 rise they engage leaf springs 13 attached to a body 1 in which the cylinders are formed. Blowing or sucking through one hole hence causes just one spring 13 to rise to engage a bar 14 of electrically conducting material which is pivoted on rod 15 and sprung at 15a so that it normally rests upon all the springs 13, but is lifted off all but a particular one of the springs 13 when a note is played. This spring acts as an electrical switch and varies the value of the resistance in the base of one transistor in a multivibrator oscillator (Fig. 11, not shown) to produce different notes according to which leaf spring is raised. The circuit of the device (Fig. 11, not shown) comprises an oscillator, consisting of an emitter. coupled multivibrator, an amplifier and two frequency dividers for adding harmonics to the basic note. The circuit is powered by a battery 21 and has an output through the cable 4 to an external amplifier system. Frequency vibrato is achieved by altering the inductance of a coil SV in the oscillator, the core 16 of which is moved by a plate 18 which is pivotally mounted on resilient blades 17 to which the core is attached. A photoresistor PHR is used in the amplifier to alter the volume of the output, depending on the force with which the note is played. To do this, a lamp l is provided with an adjustable shutter 23 which is pivoted on the rod 15 so that the higher the bar 14, the greater the amount of light passing the shutter and the greater the volume. Buttons 19 and 20, mounted on plate 18, actuate switches to alter the capacitance between the base of one transistor and the collector of the other transistor in the oscillator, so varying the sharpness of the note. Transposition by three semi-tones is obtained by the three position switch 24 which alters the bias resistors of the transistors in the oscillator, and a three position octave switch 25 is provided which alters the harmonic content of the output signal by switching the frequency dividers in and out. Button 26 enables a chosen register and that of the octave below to be played simultaneously. A series of different tone qualities are achieved by altering some of the component values of the filters in the amplifier by switches 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. In alternative embodiments illustrated in Figs. 5 to 9 (not shown), different pressure sensitive elements are employed with the object of preventing condensation, resulting from playing of the instrument, reaching the electronic components. This is achieved using bellows (Fig. 5) or rubber sleeves on the piston type as previously described (Figs. 6, 7 and 8) or foam material on the said piston type (Fig. 9).
