A product containing 1 to 35% by weight of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and obtained by the graft polymerization in bulk of vinyl chloride on to an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer in a single stage at constant speed, or in a first stage with high turbulence agitation followed by a second stage with slow agitation, in one and the same piece of apparatus, is thermoreticulated by adding to said product a free radical generator and heating the mixture to a temperature of above 180‹ C. In a modification, the free radical generator e.g. an alkyl, aryl or acyl peroxide or a percarbonate, is incorporated during the graft polymerization, which is conducted as described in 1,169,967. In the examples, the graft polymer is compounded with antioxidants, stabilizers andα,α1-di- (tertiary butyl peroxy)-diisopropyl benzene and thermoreticulated.
