PURPOSE:To improve operability relating to the enlargement or reduction of picture information by providing a parameter setting means and executing the enlargement or reduction in correspondence to a set parameter. CONSTITUTION:The reduction rate of the picture information to be stored to a display memory 73 and a page memory 53b is designated by using a keyboard 101 or a mouse 103 and the reduced picture information are set to display on a display device 77. The parameter such as this set reduction rate, etc., is read from a main memory 51 and the picture information read by an image scanner 1 are inputted through an interface circuit 95a. An enlargement/ reduction part 91 is operated and the picture information are reduced in correspondence to the reduction rate. Then, these information are stored to the display memory 73 and page memory 53b. Thus, the operability relating to the enlargement or reduction of the picture information can be improved. |
