A zigzag sewing machine has a pivotted slideway 34 driven by a cam 21 through a follower 28 to push a connecting rod 31 having an end 34 engaging the slideway to pivot the needle bar cradle 14 and comprises two manually moveable cams 40, 44 (not shown) one of which moves a lever 27 to vary the position of the end 34 of lever 31 in the slideway and thus vary the amplitude of the swing and the other of which moves the lever 28 and thus the pivot point 37 of the slideway to vary the field of the swing. A face cam 59 acting through a bell crank lever 60 to a further cam 64 controls the feed dog movement.</p> |
