The knitted article is transferred from a comb (I) to the loom needles by means of a transporter (2) which carries (I) to a transfer location and back. A pusher transfers the goods from the magazine comb to (I). The grippers of (I) secure and lock (I) to (2) when (I) is in the transfer position. Specifically, the pushers carrying the magazine comb are pushed on rails and stopped in transfer position by a knitting head. The transporters are two pivotal levers fitted on both sides of the knitting head.
