The guide control on a shoe-welting machine is designed to prevent excessive pressure from being applied between a sole edge and pressure plate. Any such excess pressure, built-up when welting tongs are set in their operating position, is indicated by a pressure indicator whose signal triggers a pressure drop. The signal causes the pressure plate to drop under control of a valve which opens another valve, tripping a counterpressure. The tripping valve acts on a piston. A wedge for the sole edge, once removed, acts upon a third valve blocking the counterpressure. PS. |
