Ferromagnetic recording media with ex- - cellent magnetic properties

Magnetic recording media are produced by (a) dispersing a fine ferromagnetic powder in a binder under the action of a magnetic field, (b) applying the dispersion onto a non-magnetic base layer or support, and (c) subjecting the coating on the base layer or support to a magnetic field for further orientation of the particles. This gives magnetic recording media with an improved orientation of the ferromagnetic particles.
