For the preparation of bread-based food product with two fillings, two flat casings of bread- or sweet dough are superimposed. One casing forms the base and has a hollow depression with top opening. This dough casing contains a filling. The upper casing is also filled, and closed. Dough and fillings are made separately and passed into a single coextrusion machine which makes the filled top and bottom halves consecutively. Two extruders may be used, in which case the halves are made simultaneously. After superposition, the double confections are left to prove in a temperature- and humidity-controlled chamber, before baking in an oven. Also claimed is the bread-based food product prepared by the above method. |
