Fluorocompounds of the formula CH=CH2(CH2CH2)nRfCH2OR in which Rf is a perfluoroalkylene radical of no more than 18 carbon atoms and R is a hydrogen atoms or acyl radical. These monomers can be polymerized with a free radical catalyst to give OR THE COMPOUNDS CAN BE REACTED WITH 3BOND SiH to give the corresponding substituted silicon atom. The novel silicon containing compounds are useful as elastomers, lubricants, and coating compositions.
