<p>1396098 Anaesthetic apparatus MEDICAL & INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT Ltd 5 May 1972 [13 May 1971] 14806/71 Heading AST [Also in Division F2] In a tapered spigot and socket joint, e.g. in a breathing attachment for use with an anaesthetic face mask, the joint members are moulded from a conductive plastics composition and their mating surfaces are lined with shells 4, 18 of stainless steel, chromium or nickel, which are keyed in place. Joint members of polypropylene may be joined to shells of stainless steel, during injection moulding. The joints may be secured by snap action rib and groove portions. Snap action swivel joints 15, 24 are sealed by O-rings 17. A face mask, for which an exhaust valve 22 is provided, may be secured to nozzle 20. For Figures see next column</p> |
