<p>Gelling agents which are motmorillonites, betonite, and 1-10% dimethyl dioctadecyl ammonium bentonite, are mixed with chlorinated hydrocarbons of b.pt. -10 to +45 degrees C and additives such as water and wetting agent; by treating gelling agent with polar solvent followed by high speed stirring with chlorinated hydrocarbon; on adding wetting agent and then chlorinated hydrocarbon, with stirring, to homogeneous gel produced by high speed stirring of gelling agent with water.</p> |
