<p>The air and watertight preserving container (10) which has water supply and waste pipes, is built into the worktop of a kitchen unit. The lift up lid (2) contains at least one cooking zone. A front opening can be closed by a closure plate (12) so that when the lid and plate are locked in position the inside of the container is ettectively sealed. A support grid (13) can be connected to the closure plate. Both the grid and the container (10) can be removed for easy cleaning either vertically or horizontally through one or other of the openings. The food on the grid can be removed from the container without having to raise the lid which is of great advantage.</p> |
