<p>The mechanism collects fibrous items from a vessel containing liquid, being particularly for weeds in washing troughs used when processing sugarbeet. Catcher dogs are moved through the fluid by an endless conveyor and pivot on it by means of spring components. The conveyor (12) comprises two smooth belts (14, 15) of elastic material such as rubber, and reinforced by embedded metal strips. At right angles to the latter are supporting beams (34), each accommodating a number of pivoting dogs (11).</p> |
