The coupling comprises two coupling elements (40) on the side of the wheel chair and positioned in the front part of the side frame parts (13). Two coupling counter-element sleeves (34) are fixed laterally apart from the coupling elements. The two counter-coupling elements are fixed to two connecting tubes (32) arranged in a fork and protruding from the drive unit (11), and are fixed to the two wheel-chair-side coupling elements. Sections (36) of the connecting tubes protruding beyond the coupling counter-elements are locked by locking-pieces (42) on the wheel-chair frame. Each wheel-chair-side coupling element has a sideways protruding connecting-pin (41) fitting into holes (46) open on the side facing away from the drive unit.
