Roller chain for pulling printing paper - has chain links made of spring steel wire to allow flexure in more than one direction

A roller chain which is used to draw printing paper into a rotary printing press, is able to flex in more than one plane. The cylindrical rollers (1) are located by a bush which has the same axial length as the roller. An inner bush (4) whose ends are flared is located inside the bearing bush (2). The protruding ends of the centre bush form spigots for the chain links (3) which are made of spring steel wire.
