<p>Dyestuff mixt. consists of brominated 1,8-dihydroxy-4,5-diaminoanthraquinone (I) and 2,6-dicyano-4-nitro-2'-acetylamino-4'-(N,N'-diethyl)- amino- 1,1'-azobenzene (II) in a (I):(II) wt. ratio of 65-85:35-15 (70-80:30-20, esp. 75:25). The mixt. is specified for dyeing polyester fibres. (I) and (II) both have valuable properties for this purpose but (I) is costly to mfr., whilst (II) does not give esp. high fastness. The mixt. is favourable in cost and gives excellent liquor stability (unlike a mixt. contg. less (I), e.g. a 50:50 mixt.) and good fastness to light and sublimation. In an example, 1477 (wt.) pts. moist (I) filter cake (20% solids) and 104 pts. (II) filter cake (95% solids) were made into a paste with 130 pts. dispersant, 2 pts. anionic wetting agent and 140 pts. water, then mixed with 1615 pts. dispersant, 4.5 pts. antidusting agent and 45 pts. water and spray-dried. The dyestuff granulate obtd. contained 29.55% (I) and 9.85% (II). When used for dyeing a polyester textile, it gave very level blue dyeing with excellent fastness to light and sublimation.</p> |
