Low pressure carbon di:oxide extinguishing system - for cold stores, with internal, uninsulated carbon di:oxide reservoir

In a low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system, the new feature is that CO2 is sprayed from a CO2 reservoir which is not thermally insulated and is situated inside the space being protected. An installation for this process comprises low pressure storage assembly, fitted with control and regulation devices, plus a network for distribution of liq. CO2. This network pref. includes Venturi-type nozzles fitted with deflectors. This sytem is used in refrigerated stores. Because the reservoir is inside the cold room it does not need to be insulated and there is no need to prevent formation of solid CO2.
