<p>The output from a matrix image detector (10) with an associated colour filter is demultiplexed (12) from which the red or blue signal passes through a shift register (14) along to multiplexers (16,18). These enable the individual colour signals to be ontained for filtering (20,22,24) before being combined in a matrix circuit (26). False colour signals are eliminated by a circuit which detects rapid horizontal transition signals. This circuit comprises a detector (36) which receives the green signal from the demultiplexer. This signal is also delayed by a shift register (38) for application to the detector which outputs the difference signal to absolute value detector (40). A comparator (42) compares the value with a threshold value (Sh) in order to control suppression of chrominance signals if the threshold level is exceeded.</p> |
