<p>The measuring probe for determining the conductivity of a solution consists of a conducting rod which is mounted in a bore hole in an insulating support such that it may be displaced longitudinally. The cleaning system has an annular scraper mounted at one end of the bore in the insulating support. The insulating support is mounted in a casing and a jack for displacing the probe is fixed directly on the casing, the probe being fixed to the rod of the jack piston. A chamber or channel such as a helical channel is formed around the probe in the wall of the bore hole. One end is in communication with an admission orifice connected to a supply of solvent under pressure, and the other end is connected to an exhaust orifice. The admission of the solvent into the channel is controlled by a valve in conjunction with the control mechanism of the probe displacement device.</p> |
