PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the satisfactory fixing quality in all modes even when the environmental temperature is changed, by compensating the controlled temperature of a fixing roller under the compensating conditions different between the operation in full colour mode and that in the other modes. SOLUTION: The controlled temperature in the modes excluding the full colour mode, is compensated under the condition different from that in the full colour mode. That is, on the controlled temperature in the full colour mode, the compensation of the maximum compensation amount ΔTfull=16deg is performed corresponding to the environmental temperature as shown by the controlled temperature straight line in full colour mode operation Tfull. On the other hand, on the controlled temperature of the monocolour mode, the compensation of the maximum compensation amount ΔTmono=12deg shown by the controlled temperature straight line in monocolour mode operation Tmono, is performed corresponding to the environmental temperature. The compensation is similarly performed corresponding to the environmental temperature on the controlled temperature straight line in character mode operation Tchar, and the controlled temperature straight line in thick paper mode operation Tthic. A copied image of high fixing quality can be formed even when the environmental temperature is changed. |
