PURPOSE:To improve treatment efficiency by disposing an endless perforated belt between main and auxiliary pressing rollers and making variable the distance between both rollers. CONSTITUTION:The endless perforated belt 2 is disposed between the main and auxiliary rollers 1 and 1' for pressing and the belt 2 is moved by a driving roller. A material 3 to be treated is put onto the belt 2 and is pressed by the pressing rollers 1, 1', by which the solid-liquid sepn. treatment is executed. The upper roller 1 is attached via a shaft 9 to a supporting body 8 which moves vertically. The body 8 is further attached to a solid-liquid separator body 10 via rubber or metallic spring 15. The upper roller 1 is pressed to the lower roller 1' via the spring 15 during normal operation but when foreign matter arrives at said roller, the foreign matter forces up the roller 1 and passes under the same. The pause of the operation, etc. are thus eliminated and the separating treatment efficiency is improved by the above-mentioned method.
