PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of an obtained quantity of motion state of a vehicle, by detecting variations in the side slip angle of a wheel in accordance with the change and change rate of a suspension to compensate the side slip angle of a tire. CONSTITUTION:A vehicle motion state quantity computing device 100 computes a quantity of motion state of a vehicle which are used for controlling various kinds of control devices 104, and is provided with a suspension displacement detecting means 101, a suspension displacement rate detecting means 102 and a vehicle dimension compensating means 103. The suspension displacement detecting means 101 is for detecting the vehicle-longitudinal displacement of a suspension while the suspension displacement rate detecting means 102 is for obtaining the displacement rate of the suspension. A vehicle dimension compensating means 103 compensate a tire slip angle which is one of the dimensions of the vehicle in accordance with the suspension displacement X and the suspension displacement rate X' which are detected by both detecting means 101, 102. |
