METHOD OF OPERATING ROVING AUTOMATIC WINDING IN ROVING FRAME AND DEVICE

PURPOSE:The number of revolutions of empty bobbin is increased only at starting, slack of roving is absorbed, the rotation of the bobbin is restored to common speed and the roving is surely wound round the bobbin at restarting after doffing. CONSTITUTION:The building motion part and the long rack drive part of a roving frame are separated and made independent and the position of the long rack is set at a position to rotate a bobbin faster than an ordinary operation position at the starting of automatic winding of the roving frame and the roving frame is started. After a fixed time is passed or a given amount of roving is spun from the starting, the position is restored to the ordinary long rack position by the control motor 37 and the roving machine is operated. In the operation the restoration amount of the long rack 28 is set by the setting device 39 and the transfer amount is detected by the approach sensor 45 through the dentiform approach of the gear 34.
