PURPOSE:To form a good electrostatic recording body which obviates fogging at the front end and the drop-out of fine lines and has a good recording density even if a transparent or semi-transparent base having >=10<12>OMEGA.cm electric volume resistivity is used by forming a dielectric layer of which the surface electric resistance is within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The surface electric resistance of the dielectric layer of the electrostatic recording body constituted by successively providing the conductive layer and dielectric layer on an insulating base having >=10<12>OMEGA.cm electric volume resistivity is within a 5.0X10<6>-1.0X10<8>OMEGA range. The fogging at the front end does not arise but the drop-out arises and the annihilation of the electric charge to be recorded is so first that only the record of a low density is obtd. if the surface electric resistance value of the dielectric layer is below 5.0X10<6>OMEGA. The fogging at the front end is large and an adequate result is not obtainable when said value exceeds 1.0X10<8>OMEGA. |
