<p>PURPOSE:To carry out determination of cause of troubles of a device quickly and easily by providing a specific inference means to infer the status and the cause of troubles of an injection molding machine based on the information indicating molding conditions and a knowledge base required for trouble diagnosis such as the past trouble records and the like. CONSTITUTION:A trouble diagnosis expert system 20 is started, and information regarding molding conditions and molding status and the like is put in from an input section 26 in accordance with the questions put out from the system 20 to an output section 25. The trouble diagnosis expert system 20 determines whether there is a trouble or not based on the information obtained from the knowledge and questions on trouble diagnosis flow and experience stored already in a knowledge base 22. In case there is a trouble, trouble status is inferred by using the knowledge in the knowledge base 22. In case it is determined as a trouble, the trouble diagnosis expert system 20 issues the questions to an operator about the trouble status inferred before. The cause of the trouble and how to repair the same are inferred by using the information obtained based on the answer from the operator and the knowledge in the knowledge base, the result of which is indicated on the output section 25.</p> |
