摘要 PURPOSE: To obtain a semiconductor laser transmitter composed of a stimulated emission cavity provided with two or more cavity sections and an input electric contact, by a method wherein current input signals to the input electric contact are controlled through the prescribed properties of the laser transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor laser transmitter is composed of a cavity provided with two or more cavity sections and an input contact, wherein the cavity sections are coupled together in the cavity through a stimulated emission method. In this case, current input signals to the input electric contact are controlled through the prescribed properties of the laser transmitter to generate control emission signals. That is, input signals are controlled so as to be kept nearly constant in wavelength but changed in intensity or so as to be kept nearly constant in intensity but changed in wavelength, or input signals are changed in both wavelength and intensity through a prescribed method. For instance, input signals or drive current signals I1 and I2 are supplied to drive contacts 5a and 5b respectively, whereby the cavities adjacent to the drive contacts 5a and 5b are changed in concentration of photon γ and carrier N.
