Process and device for withdrawing liquid samples from a flow line leading from a first container to a second container. During the transfer of a volume of test liquid, a volume representative of the total volume of liquid transferred is deviated from the flow line and collected, and at the end of transfer a partial volume is withdrawn as a sample from the total volume. This process and the device for implementing it make it possible, amongst other things, to withdraw a partial flow sample at any point in the flow line and to deviate a volume representative of the test liquid at any stage in the transfer of this liquid. To this end, the deviated volume is withdrawn continuously from the flow line by a process know per se, in a quantity which depends on the dynamic pressure. The static pressure in the deviated volume is immediately adjusted to the static pressure in and above the liquid at the sampling point and an ajustment value which is used to compensate the pressure is derived from the difference between the static pressures, without having to compensate the pressure for the intake and discharge of the volume of deviated liquid. In a device for implementing the process, a pressure-compensating line (6) which opens into the head of a container (17) and a dip tube (17b) which is connected to the flow line (4) in the vicinity of the sampling point (I) and extends to the lower part of the container (17) are provided. |
