PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operation with respect to machine translation to a document received by communication. SOLUTION: In the case of machine translation, a communication state is changed. A translation control section 40 selects the entire document or part where a document before translation is displayed for a range of the document being a translation object where the document in an optional language is translated into a document in another language. Then a display start position of the document after translation with respect to the range of the selected document is selected to be whether a head of the document or the head position of the displayed document range and the translation result to the range of the selected document is displayed in response to the selected display start position.
