PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce word registering operation that a user performs when a word or phrase corresponding to a reading that the user specifies is not regis tered. SOLUTION: A KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion engine 1 monitors key input and user's operation and performs KANA- KANJI conversion while communicating with a control part 2. When the word or phrase corresponding to the reading that the user specifies is not present, the control part 2 stores the reading in a storage part 3 according to information from the KANA-KANJI conversion engine 1, and registers a determined character string with the stored reading by automatically using a word registering engine 4 when the code input and rereading input are completed. Further, when the word is registered, a confirmation message is displayed by using a message display part 5 to inform the user that the word is registered. |
