PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an exclusive tester for code registration and facilitate registration work by judging whether a code collating part and an engine control part are both new, and in case of both being new, registering a second code coincidently between both without collating a first code. SOLUTION: In case of no IC code being registered in EEPROMs 5, 10 of an IM unit 4 and an EGI unit 9 at the time of being brand-new such as at the time of initial delivery or at the time of simultaneous replacement, it is so set as to be in a mode of registering an ID code and CW without collating the ID code or CW and to be able to shift only in case of receiving a command from the EGI unit 9. An ID code is thus registered anew in the EEPROM 5 in the IM unit 4, and CW and an ID code are registered anew in the EEPROM 10 of the EGI unit 9. As a result, an exclusive tester for ID code registration is dispensed with. |
