The lintel (2) for a sliding door is prefabricated in ordinary concrete, in aerated concrete, or in brick. The lintel has a rectangular cross-section, in which a U-shaped guide rail (3) is embedded. The rail lower edge is flush with the underface of the lintel. The guide rail may be positioned centrally in the lintel, or to one side of its centre line. The length of the guide rail is less than the length of the lintel. ADVANTAGE - Simple and easy assembly, without subsequent guide rail fitting.
