The housing (11) has a flange (30), an intermediate part and a back end (15). Grounding devices (34) are provided to make electrical connection between the lock (11) and door (26). The housing (11) is supported either by means of a nut (13) or retaining ring (113) on the intermediate part having a thread (36) or radial peripheral grooves (35), or by a spring device (13). An axial groove (35) or bevel is provided originating of the flange contact surface (40). A metal leaf spring (34) can be received in th e groove (35) and when relaxed extends beyond the opening of the gap along the flange contact surface (40) axis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Housing for locks, switch levers etc. mounted in conducting doors of cabinets etc or machine housing. Prevents scratching of varnished door surface. Guarantees safe, checkable earth connection between lock and door.
