The position at which the harmonic signals are produced is indicated by the superimposed representation of an echographic image of a pulse shaped ultrasonic wave transmitted from the monitoring ultrasonic transceiver (5.1, 5.2) and an echographic imaging of the signals transmitted from the ultrasonic transmitter with the focusing unit. The system is designed so that the position at which the harmonics are produced can be represented as the point of intersection of the echographic imagings (32.1, 32.2) of the signals for the harmonics of the focused ultrasonic wave by means of the two monitoring ultrasonic transceivers. ADVANTAGE - Establishes exactly whether ultrasonic wave used for treatment is focused at place to be treated. Treatment by focused wave produces no sec. effects at places not being treated.
