<p>PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive paper feeder that prevents any possible 'paper folding' and 'nonfeeding' from occurring. CONSTITUTION:A paper feed roller 2 being installed tight in a shaft, and made up of such elastic rubber as poor in elasticity is comprised of both large diametral parts 2a, 2b with two hollow parts 3a, 3b at both sides and a solid small diametral part 2c in the axial direction in a stand-by state (noncontact state), and when an uppermost sheet of paper P comes into contact with these large diametral parts 2a, 2b at the specified pressure contact force F, it is hollowly deformed, the upmost paper P is conveyed at a conveying speed different in these large diametral parts 2a, 2b and the small diametral part 2c contacting, each. With this constitution, the central part is pressed to the side of the small diametral part 2c, and thereby it receives a push-up stress, so that the paper P after the second sheet doubly fed is separated from the uppermost paper P.</p> |
